Although the design and structure of ballast differs according to their purpose of use and specifications, there are some general characteristics which are common in all types of ballasts. Some important properties are as follows:-

Shedding some lights on the horizontal floodlights!

Floodlights are basically high intensity lights which have a wide use in commercial and residential field. Whatever be the area, the basic purpose of flood lights is to provide sufficient light to cover large areas. There may be many reasons to install flood lights, like for security reasons and for night time activities like in sports which have a long playtime or even for holding events at night.

Types of electronic ballasts

Ballasts are electrical devices which are used regulate the flow of current in any given circuit. The most common examples of this device are those which are used in fluorescent lamps. They utilize electrical charge by providing ideal conditions to light up fluorescent bulbs. There are three main types of ballasts commercially available which are discussed below.
